With a power-packed performance in ‘Sultan’ and a heart-melting deliverance in ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, there is absolutely no stopping for Anushka Sharma. From backing content-oriented films to choosing films that challenge her to break out of her comfort zone, Anushka has done it all.
And while majority of the actors take up direction or production as a venture only after they’ve spent decades in the industry, Anushka decided to produce an unconventional piece of cinema like ‘NH 10’ when she was as young as 25.
Requires a lot of guts, right? In a conversation with Mumbai Mirror, the actress herself admitted how people around her thought she was absolutely foolish to venture into production when her acting career was at its peak. (Also Read:Â Anushka Sharma: I would love to do a chick flick)
“When I decided to be a producer at the age of 25 and everyone thought I was crazy. They thought when my acting career is going good why am I getting into production. As usually actresses become producers when they don’t have anything to do (in acting) which I felt was bizarre and stupid,” Anushka said.
“I don’t do things to break stereotypes but I just follow what my heart says. I don’t get scared easily. If I want to do something and I feel it is correct I will do it. I don’t think what others will say or think about my decision,” she added.
Way to go, girl!
