Anushka Sharma pens a heartfelt note as she remembers legendary Lata Mangeshkar on her birth anniversary

Anushka Sharma remembered legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar on her 93rd birth anniversary. The actress took to her Instagram stories and penned a heartfelt note. She shared a photo of the late singer and remembered her. Lata Mangeshkar passed away on February 6, this year. The date today marks her 93rd birthday.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Anushka Sharma shared a smiling photo of Lata Mangeshkar. Sharing the photo, the Chakda Xpress actress wrote, “Remembering the legend, Lata Mangeshkar ji on her birth anniversary.” Anushka wrote the caption and added a microphone and crown emoji in the post.

Earlier in February 2022, after the news about Lata Mangeshkar’s demise made headlines, the Chakda Xpress actress had shared a black and white photo of the legendary singer, expressing her grief. Anushka shared a black and white photo of Lata Mangeshkar from her younger days and mourned her death.

Mourning the death of Lata Mangeshkar, Anushka Sharma had written on Twitter, “‘God speaks through beautiful voices’ Sad sad day for India as our nightingale leaves her mortal body. Lataji’s voice has immortalised her for ever. She will live in our hearts through her music. My deepest condolences to her family, friends and fans. RIP Lataji.”

Lata Mangeshkar breathed her last at the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. The legendary singer was on ventilator after she recovered from Covid-19 and pneumonia.

Work-wise, Anushka is set to feature in the film Chakda Xpress. The actress is currently shooting for the same in England. She has managed to keep her fans updated about the shooting schedule of the movie. Anushka Sharma is constantly dropping stills from Chakda Xpress on her Instagram, further piquing the interest of her fans. The movie is a biopic based on cricketer Jhulan Goswami who only recently announced her retirement from international cricket.
