As Anushka Sharma resumes work, her old video saying ‘Don’t want to be working when I’m married’ goes viral

New mom Anushka Sharma has stayed away from the screen for quite some time now. She was last seen in Aanand L Rai’s Zero in 2018. The actress welcomed her first child with her husband Virat Kohli in January this year. She had decided to take a break from films after Zero, as she had been working back-to-back. The doting mom is currently busy taking care of her child and looking after her production house, which has produced a bunch of critically-acclaimed projects during the lockdown including Bulbbul and Paatal Lok.

Anushka finally resumed work today and now an old video clip of the actress from the popular talk show Rendezvous with Simi Garewal has gone viral. In the video, Simi Grewal asks Anushka if she wants to get married. “I want to be married,” says Anushka when she was 23-years-old. “I want to have kids. And, when I’m married I probably don’t want to be working,” the actress says.

Earlier, speaking to a leading daily about her plans to resume work, she had said, “I will be back to my shoots after I deliver my child, and will establish a system at home that ensures I can balance time between my child, home and professional life. I intend to keep working for as long as I live because acting truly makes me happy.”

After almost, three weeks of their daughter’s birth Anushka and Virat shared a glimpse of the newborn. Anushka also revealed the name of their baby daughter. She posted a family picture and wrote a heartfelt caption, “We have lived together with love, presence and gratitude as a way of life but this little one, Vamika has taken it to a whole new level! Tears, laughter, worry, bliss – emotions that have been experienced in a span of minutes sometimes! Sleep is elusive  but our hearts are SO full Thanking you all for your wishes, prayers and good energy.”
