Anushka Sharma is all set to return to films after quite a hiatus with the movie Chakda Xpress which is based on Indian bowler Jhulan Goswami. Anushka has gone through some rigorous training for the movie and it has a Virat Kohli connection.
The actress, who was last seen in Zero with Shah Rukh Khan, recently opened up that she would take batting lessons from husband Virat Kohli. She also said that she now appreciates Virat and cricket much more. Sharma told Harper’s Bazaar that she is taking bowling lessons from her coach for Chakda Xpress but Virat always gives his feedback.
Speaking to the magazine, Anushka said, “We definitely discuss my progress. Whenever I’ve had a good day learning, I like to share my videos with Virat, to get his feedback. Luckily, he’s not a bowler so I listen to my coach more. But I do turn to Virat for batting tips.”

Anushka further said that she now understands how ‘mentally pressurising’ it is for Virat to be a cricketer, “I always appreciated how mentally pressurising it can be to play cricket, but now, I also understand how physically draining it is. I remember when Virat would sometimes come to see me on a film set, and he would watch us on late-night shoots or in very cold places, he would be bewildered and wonder how we were able to do it. Now, I talk to him about the things that he’s been doing for so many years.”
Meanwhile, sharing clips from her training, Anushka had recently written on her social media account, “That’s how the last few days have been! #prep #ChakdaXpress #GetSweatGo @netflix_in @jhulangoswami @officialcsfilms @prositroy @kans26 (sic).”
