Anushka Sharma is NOT replacing Priyanka Chopra in Jee Le Zaraa? Here’s why

It was recently reported that Anushka Sharma will be replacing Priyanka Chopra Jonas in Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa.

Farhan Akhtar’s directorial project Jee Le Zaraa has been in the news for multiple reasons. Farhan Akhtar announced Jee Le Zaraa starring Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif last year. This year, Farhan started scouting for locations. A few days back, it was said that Priyanka has walked out of the project. A report claimed that Anushka Sharma was approached to step into the shoes of PeeCee. However, according to the latest report, there is no truth in the rumours.

According to a report by Zoom, Anushka was never approached for Jee Le Zaraa. The news portal quoted a source saying, “Anushka has not even been approached for Jee Le Zaraa. Why should she be? When Priyanka has not opted out. This is some marketing team’s brainwave. The truth is, Anushka wants to devote optimum time to her daughter. After Zero in 2018, she has signed only one film, Chakda Express. Then someone gets up, decides she will be part of Jee Le Zaraa, and then decides she won’t be part of it. Nothing of this sort happened.”

Anushka is currently vacationing with her husband Virat Kohli and daughter Vamika in London. On the work front, she will be seen in Chakda Xpress which releases on Netflix soon.

On the other hand, a few days ago, it was reported that Katrina Kaif has also walked out of the project. However, a new report stated that she is still a part of Jee Le Zaraa.

Katrina has interesting projects in the pipeline. Apart from Jee Le Zaraa, she will be seen in Tiger 3 with Salman Khan. The actress also has Merry Christmas with Vijay Sethupathi.

On the other hand, Jee Le Zaraa’s third lead Alia is currently busy promoting her upcoming film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Directed by Karan Johar, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani also stars Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. It is slated to release on 28^th July, 2023.
