Here’s why Anushka Sharma will not be supporting Virat Kohli during the test series

After a number of pictures being shared on social media and a number of videos going viral, we all know that Anushka Sharma is currently in England with husband Virat Kohli where team India is playing their cricket series with England. The series includes T20 maches, ODIs and test matches and India went on to win the T20 series and lost the ODIs to England. And now the Men In Blue will start the Test series with them.

In the past, we have seen cricketer wives accompany their beaus/husbands during their important matches to lend their support, but we will not see that happen now. The management has decided to apply the no WAGs rule which is no wives and girlfriends rule. During the test matches, players will not be allowed to bring in their wives or girlfriends to the match till the third test match ends.

The team management has made it clear to the players that for almost a month, they will have to stay away from their wives. Sunday was the last day for the players to be with their partners before the team proceeded to Chelmsford from London for a practice game.

A source close to Mumbai Mirror was quoted as, “We’ve had four days of rest before settling down for the serious task ahead. The players had moved out with spouses, friends and relatives and tomorrow (Monday) we will leave for Chelmsford.”

Virat and Anushka were spending enough time together and their pictures had taken the internet by storm! Virat had shared a number of pictures out of which, one was when they were enjoying a day out. Check it out below:

Besides Anushka, M S Dhoni’s wife Sakshi Dhoni, Rohit Sharma’s wife Ritika Sajdeh, Shikhar Dhawan’s wife Aesha Dhawan have also joined their husbands for the ongoing England tour.
