AR Rahman’s Mother Passes Away: Shekhar Kapur, Boney Kapoor, Ali Fazal, Shreya Ghoshal offer condolences

Music maestro AR Rahman’s mother Kareema Begum breathed her last on Monday in Chennai. Reportedly, Kareema died due to age-related issue. The devastated music-composer took to his Twitter handle and shared his late mother’s picture without any caption.

Several Bollywood celebs offered condolences to Rahman and his family. Shekhar Kapur, Shreya Ghoshal, Boney Kapoor and several other celebs offered a tribute to Rahman’s late mother through their tweets.

Reacting to the news of Rahman’s mother’s demise, filmmaker Shekhar Kapur wrote, “Your heart is broken, I know. But your mother left you with an inner strength , an inner resilience and belief .. that I have seen and admired for long. Stay strong, my friend ..”

Offering condolences, singer Shreya Ghoshal tweeted, “Deeply saddened by this news Rahman sir. She was one of the most gentle affectionate person I have met. Praying for her departed soul(sic).”
