Arijit Singh to sing the reprised version of Mai Nikla Gaddi Leke – Report

Gadar 2 is an anticipated film starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in key roles. The duo came together previously in Gadar in 2001 and gave a stellar performance. The duo star again in the second part of the film. Gadar 2 hits the theatres this year on 11 August.

Arijit Singh to recreate Mai Nikla Gaddi Leke

With the recenty released song Udd Jaa Kaale Kaava, the audience are up for a treat as another song from Gadar will have a reprised version. As per a report by News18, Arijit Singh will re-create the popular song Mai Nikla Gaddi Leke for Gadar 2. As Udit Narayan sung the original version, the new version will be done by Arijit Singh and Udit Narayan together.

News18 quoted a source saying, “The original version of Main Nikla… was a peppy number which becomes a huge hit. Even after 22 years, the song is a rage and is a regular at parties and marriage functions. When they decided to recreate the song, the idea was not to tamper with the original yet add some freshness to it. The makers along with Mithoon decided to bring in a new voice and everyone decided that Arijit Singh would be the right choice for the song.”

It also added,  “Apart from Arijit, the makers also wanted to have some nostalgic value to the song and decided to retain Udit Narayan as they didn’t want to tamper with the original track. Apparently, the new song will also feature Utkarsh Sharma, who plays Sunny’s son in the film. While Udit’s voice will be for Sunny, Arijit has lent his voice to Utkarsh.”

Recently, Arijit recreated the famous Passori Nu for SatyPrem Ki Katha and the audience appreciated the same. Now, the netizens are up for another masterpiece by Arijit Singh as he will reportedly remake Mai Nikla Gaddi Leke from Gadar.
