Newbie actors Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt look sizzling in the new song of their next rom-com ‘2 States’. Recently the new song ‘Locha-e-Ulfat’ was released and has a novel factor – a part of the track has been shot at IIM-A (Indian Institute of Management, Ahmadabad), a first for a Bollywood film.
The reason for shooting it in Ahmedabad, is that the movie is based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel of the same name is also set in the same institute so to add reality to the song they had to shoot there. While it wasn’t too difficult getting the necessary permissions, the time they got to shoot wasn’t too favorable — it was summer and the weather was just too hot.
As per sources, “It was important to capture life in that city and not cheat by shooting in, say Mumbai, and passing it off as Ahmedabad. The local elements — people and buses — add to the realistic element of the song.
‘2 States’, produced by Dharma Productions and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Ltd, releases April 18.
