Arjun Kapoor and Kriti Sanon starrer ‘Panipat’ goes on floors today

Ace director Ashutosh Gowariker’s love for historic films is well known. After his last film ‘Mohenjo Daro’ starring Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde bombed at the box office, the director is now gearing up for his next offering ‘Panipat’. The film stars Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Kriti Sanon in lead roles.

Today, the film finally went on floors and sharing this news with his fans and followers, Arjun shared a poster of the film on the photo-sharing site Instagram.

For this period drama, Arjun Kapoor will be sporting a bald look. Since the past few days, the actor has been trying to keep his look under wraps but yesterday, he finally revealed the look as he was spotted at Amrita Arora’s residence.

In the film, Arjun will be playing the role of Maratha warrior Peshwa Sadashiv Rao Bhau, while Sanjay Dutt is playing Ahmad Shah Abdali. ‘Panipat’ also features Padmini Kolhapure, Mohnish Bahl and Kunal Kapoor. Scheduled to release next year, on December 6, the film’s costume has been designed by Neeta Lulla. Music composer Ajay Atul will be composing the film’s soundtrack, while ace lyricist Javed Akhtar will be penning the lyrics.

Art director Nitin Chandrakant Desai will be designing the film’s sets that are being erected at the ND Studios in Karjat. With so many eminent people on board, this film appears to be very interesting.
