Arjun Kapoor

Arjun Kapoor is making a grand return to the rom-com genre with Mere Husband Ki Biwi, stepping back into the charming loverboy roles that first endeared him to audiences. After a series of intense, action-packed performances in recent years—most notably as a brooding antagonist in the last installment of the Singham franchise—Kapoor is ready to rekindle the lighthearted romance and comedic timing that defined his early career. His upcoming film brings back shades of his fan-favorite performances in ‘2 States,’ ‘Ki & Ka,’ and ‘Mubarakan.’

About Mere Husband Ki Biwi

In Mudassar Aziz’s ‘Mere Husband Ki Biwi,’ Kapoor finds himself entangled in a laugh-out-loud love triangle with Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh. His character, caught in a whirlwind of emotions and comic confusion, mirrors the effortless charm he exuded as Krish Malhotra in ‘2 States,’ the unconventional yet endearing Kabeer in ‘Ki & Ka,’ and the dual roles of Karan and Charan in ‘Mubarakan.’ This film, with its witty dialogues and humorous moments, is poised to revive Kapoor’s romantic comedy magic.

Speaking about his return to the rom-com space, Kapoor shared, “I have always enjoyed playing characters that are relatable yet entertaining. There’s something special about romantic comedies—they let you have fun while connecting with people’s emotions. With ‘Mere Husband Ki Biwi,’ I’m back to a zone that I love, and I think audiences will enjoy this ride just as much as I did while filming it. These are entertainers that kept cine-goers enthralled. I am someone who has always loved the big-screen 70 mm experience, and this film takes me back to the simple, sweet movies of my childhood that were fun, warm, and brought a smile to our faces.”

Director Mudassar Aziz brings Mere Husband Ki Biwi to life, featuring Arjun Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, and Bhumi Pednekar, along with Harsh Gujral, Shakti Kapoor, Dino Morea, and Aditya Seal. Vashu Bhagnani & Puja Films present this refreshing comedy, produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, and Deepshikha Deshmukh. It will hit theaters on February 21, 2025. With a mix of romance, humor, and confusion, the film promises to be a delightful treat for rom-com lovers.
