Arjun Kapoor REVEALS his first look from ‘Panipat’ and it’s unexpected

Arjun Kapoor, who has been rigorously working out to get into the skin of his character in ‘Panipat’, has unveiled his first look from the film. Arjun Kapoor has been posting pictures and videos of his work on social media since he started shooting for ‘Panipat’. Notably, ‘Panipat’ is the first ever period drama film where he will be seen playing the character of Sadashiv Rao Bhau, nephew of Peshwa Bajirao who served as the Sardar Senapati (commander-in-chief) of the Maratha army in the battle of Panipat.

Taking to social media today, Arjun Kapoor fooled everyone by posting his childhood picture and referred to it as his first look from ‘Panipat.’ The ‘Half Girlfriend’ actor has been undergoing a massive transformation for his role in ‘Panipat’.

When Arjun Kapoor was shooting, he had taken his gym to the sets of the film. “Arjun discussed this with his director, Ashutosh Gowariker, and the film-maker has been kind enough to allot space on the sets and build this gym. All the equipment from Arjun’s personal gym has been shifted to Karjat and his trainer has been visiting him regularly. Arjun wants to be in a particular shape by March and if you see his social media handles, you can see how intense his training and diet has become,” a source from the sets had informed IBT.

Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, ‘Panipat’ is based on the third battle of Panipat, which was fought between Ahmad Shah Durrani’s invading Afghani forces and Sadashivrao Bhau representing the Maratha Empire. The film also features Sanjay Dutt as the lead antagonist and Kriti Sanon would be seen essaying the role of Parvati Bai, who was the wife of Sadashiv Rao Bhau.

The movie is scheduled to hit the theatres on December 6, 2019.
