Arjun Kapoor’s latest release ‘Mubarakan’ received mixed reviews from the critics as well as the audience. Despite this, the film managed to make decent amount at the box office. ‘Mubarakan’ stars Arjun Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Ileana D’Cruz and Athiya Shetty and is directed by Anees Bazmee. The film turned out to be family entertainer and was enjoyed by a lot of people. But apparently, someone feels that it is waste money to watch this film in theatres and rather one should watch it on their mobile phones, encouraging piracy.
So to promote ‘Mubarakan’ using the festival of Raksha Bandhan, Arjun took to his Twitter handle to urge people to watch this film. He posted a picture with caption, “Celebrate this special occasion of #RakshaBandhan with your family watching #Mubarakan in cinemas near you!”. Soon a person named Sumit posted, “paisa barbaad krne se achha ghar pe hi dekh le mobile pe.” [sic]
This did not go down well with Arjun and he replied by saying that it is really heartbreaking to see that people are promoting piracy like this. He tweeted, “Heartbreaking 2 read this, encouraging piracy so easily without realising how many people’s hardwork & livelihood is nullified is just wrong.” [sic]
Well, Arjun did make a valid point here. Piracy is something that should not be encouraged in any given way. This menace needs to stop. (Also Read: Dear Arjun Kapoor, Varun has a piece of advice for you)
Anyway, talking about Arjun Kapoor, he would next be seen in ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ along with his ‘Ishaqzaade’ girl Parineeti Chopra. It is being helmed by Dibaker Banerjee.
