Post his last release ‘Ki & Ka’, actor Arjun Kapoor is beginning to work on something new and interesting with his upcoming projects lined up. As we had reported earlier, the actor has already started shooting for director Anees Bazmee’s next titled ‘Mubarakan’ which will see him playing a double role after a gap of three years. And the latest buzz suggests that the ‘Gunday’ star would be seen donning the police uniform for the first time in his filmography. This would be actor Arjun’s team up with writer-director Dibakar Banerjee for the first time as well, seeing the former playing a Haryanvi cop.
According to a leading daily, this project is a dark thriller set in North India. Arjun has agreed to come on board, but is yet to sign on the dotted line. This could even see Arjun with two other leading actors from B-Town.
A source has been quoted by the daily saying, “Dibakar is writing the final draft. Once it’s ready and a final narration is done, the deal can be officially sealed.”
Arjun is currently shooting for ‘Mubarakan’, so this Dibakar Banerjee-directorial is scheduled to go on floors probably in the mid-2017.
It would be quite interesting for us and the fans of Arjun Kapoor to see him playing a cop that too with a Haryanvi accent which has never be explored by the ‘2 States’ actor on the big screens.
