‘Arjun Patiala’: Kriti Sanon and Diljit Dosanjh starrer gets a release date

Actors Diljit Dosanjh and Kriti Sanon are paired opposite for the first time in ‘Arjun Patiala’. Diljit is playing the main character of a cop and Kriti will be seen in the role of a journalist. After ‘Udta Punjab’ and ‘Jatt and Juliet’, this is Diljit’s third film where he is playing a cop.

The first look poster was out this year in May where we saw Kriti and Diljit along with Varun Sharma. Today, Kriti and Diljit have announced the release date of the movie on their Twitter handles. The romantic comedy is now releasing on May 3, 2019.

The release date of the movie has been pushed many times. Earlier, it was slated to release on September 13 and finally, it is all set to hit the screens next year. Varun is the comic character in the film. Talking about Varun’s character, Dinesh, the head honcho of Maddock Films once said, “Varun is Diljit Dosanjh’s lackey Onida Singh, a cop with an arrogant swagger and a sarcastic tongue.”

This is Kriti’s third movie with Dinesh Vijan. She worked under his banner in ‘Raabta’ and recently wrapped up the shoot of ‘Luka Chuppi’ under the same banner.

‘Arjun Patiala’ is directed by Rohit Jugraj Chauhan under the banner of Maddock Films. It has been co-produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Sandeep Leyzell. It also stars Ronit Roy and Manjot Singh in pivotal roles.
