No relief for Bollywood actor Armaan Kohli, as the Bombay High Court on Monday rejected his bail plea. Kohli was arrested in August this year, as the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had recovered banned drugs from his Mumbai residence. Now, as his bail plea is rejected, he will continue to remain in jail. Reportedly, the Bigg Boss fame actor approached the court on October 22 after a special court rejected the same while stating that there is prima facie evidence of illicit trafficking and purchase of drugs against him
News agency ANI confirmed about the rejection of Armaan Kohli’s bail. It’s tweet read: “Actor Armaan Kohli’s bail application has been rejected by the Bombay High Court. He was arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau in a drugs case.”
Reportedly, the single-judge bench of justice Nitin W Sambre allowed the bail applications of co-accused Kareem Dhanani and Imran Ansari.

Sameer Wankhede, Zonal Director NCB, had earlier told Bombay Times, “NCB has launched an operation called Operation Rolling Thunder under which we have intercepted peddlers and suppliers of mephedrone drugs and arrested nine of them so far. After that, a lot of places have been searched and we have seized commercial quantities of drugs from different places.”
He added, “Ajay Singh, alias Ajay Mamu was intercepted and arrested. He was carrying an intermediate quantity of MD (mephedrone). And while investigating him, we came to know about Mr. Kohli. We searched Mr. Kohli’s house and we recovered a small quantity of cocaine. Based on that, we got him to the office and questioned him, and subsequently have put him under arrest.”
Armaan was also arrested by the Excise department in 2018 for possessing 41 bottles of scotch whiskey at his residence.
