One film that we are eagerly looking forward to is Arjun Rampal’s ‘Daddy’. Directed by Ashim Ahluwalia, ‘Daddy’ is a biopic made on the life of gangster Arun Gawli. The gangster who is fondly called as Daddy is currently in Nagpur jail serving his jail-term. But in Arjun Rampal’s latest interview, the actor has revealed that the gangster has watched the film and has liked it.
When asked about Mr Gawli’s reaction to the film, the actor says, “It’s not an easy film to digest, it is really hard-hitting. So, (it leaves you) a bit stunned. I think (the film) took him back to his past and he was thinking about Rama and Babu (his close associates). [After watching the film], he said, ‘Tune to sab kuch dikha diya hai.’ He was happy with the film.”
The actor further narrated how Arun Gawli had his own inputs to give for the film. Arjun stated, “He felt certain situations weren’t correctly depicted by us. His arguments were justified. He expressed his apprehensions about a certain character — he said, ‘This person wouldn’t react in this manner. So, can you fix that?’ These were minor tweaks and we gladly incorporated them. I think his suggestions actually helped the film.”
The trailer of ‘Daddy’ which was unveiled recently had left everyone impressed. We were left stunned to witness Arjun’s transformation into Arun Gawli. The actor has managed to get into the skin of the character perfectly and there is no denying that this is going to be one of the best performances of Arjun Rampal.
