Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Love Aaj Kal’ depicts love and complexities set in two different eras-1990 and 2020. Kartik is romancing newbie Arushi Sharma in the 1990s. Though Arushi made a cameo in ‘Tamasha’, this movie can be called as her debut movie as a heroine. Needless to say, in the entire movie Arushi was too good in her part and she had excelled in her character of Leena. In fact, she had overshadowed Sara in the entire movie.
When we spoke to Arushi about her journey as a newcomer in the industry, she said, “Everyone has to believe that their journey is a different journey. People who have come from any part, they have their own explorations, own discoveries and as strugglers and as inspiring actors, we have to believe and first of all this industry is very different. There are no rules in this industry which is also bad and a good thing. But you have to keep on reminding yourself why you are here. You are here for passion and that passion should never die at any cost whether you are getting rejections or demotivated by a lot of factors. I think you have to be put the effort, self-motivated all the time and that is the way forward. We have to keep working hard and never stop believing in yourself.”
When asked how she is taking things forward post ‘Love Aaj Kal’, the starlet said, “The only way forward is to keep working on yourself. As a professional, you should keep learning all the time and upskill yourself and there is no end to it.”
