Aryan Khan tests Covid-19 negative; moved to common cell

Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s son Aryan Khan has been shifted to a common cell of Arthur Road Jail after testing negative for COVID-19. He has been in jail since his bail plea was rejected in the drugs seizure case. Five other men who were arrested in the case too have been shifted out of the quarantine barrack in the jail.

ANI quoted Nitin Waychal, superintendent of Arthur Road Jail saying, “Aryan Khan and 5 others shifted to the common cell from quarantine barrack in the jail after their Covid report came negative.”

A Mumbai court will resume his bail plea hearing shortly as Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh is yet to wrap up his arguments against bail for Aryan.

Aryan was arrested was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on October 3 in connection with the seizure of banned drugs on board a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast. Total 20 people have been arrested in the case. Aryan was accused of procuring drugs, while Aryan’s counsel has argued that no drugs were found with the 23-year-old during raids.

The star kid has already spent 12 days in NCB’s custody and seven days in jail. If his bail plea is rejected yet again today, he will apparently stay in jail till October 18 due to Dussehra break and the weekend.
