Though Aryan Khan was released on bail recently, still he is in the news due to the updates on the drugs seizure case. The latest report in India Today states that a witness in the cruise drugs case, Vijay Pagare, recorded his statement with the Mumbai Police’s special investigation team (SIT) on November 4. In his statement, Pagare claimed that the raid on the cruise ship on October 2 was pre-planned and Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan was framed by certain people in order to mint money.
Vijay Pagare allegedly claimed that he had been living with Sunil Patil for the last few months in order to recover his money from him. He had witnessed the alleged extortion and framing of Aryan Khan. Vijay told India Today, “I had paid him in 2018 for some work. He did not do the work and was not paying my money back. So, I was following him wherever he went. I was with him in Ahmedabad, Surat and at Mumbai’s Lalit Hotel and Fortune Hotel.” Vijay said that Sunil was staying at Fortune Hotel in Navi Mumbai on September 27 and a room was booked at the same hotel in witness KP Gosavi’s name as well. For the unversed, Sunil Patil’s name cropped in the alleged extortion charges on Saturday when Maharashtra BJP leader Mohit Kamboj claimed he is the ‘mastermind’ in the case and is closely associated with leaders of the Nationalist Congress Party.
Vijay also said that at the hotel, BJP-affiliated witness Manish Bhanushali, KP Gosavi and Sunil Patil met a few days before the raid on the cruise happened. He was in the hotel room when Manish kissed Sunil Patil and said, “Bada kaam ho gaya [the big work has been done]. We have to leave for Ahmedabad but don’t take Pagare along.”
On October 3, Manish allegedly returned to the hotel room and met Vijay and told him to come along to get his money. Both then went to the NCB office. On reaching the office, Vijay saw media at the office and was told that Aryan had been detained by the NCB. He then saw some news clips about the cruise party raid and saw visuals of Manish and Gosavi escorting the accused.
Then he realised the raid on the cruise was pre-planned. He even claimed that he tried to reach out to Advocate Satish Maneshinde, to inform him about it but he didn’t listen.
Vijay even added that Sunil Patil had told him not to interfere in his business and before the raid happened, he told Vijay that he had got work and would finally pay him back. “I didn’t know anything about the case then. Later, I realised the money would come from this raid,” said Vijay.
