Aryan Khan, who got a clean chit by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the cruise ship drug case had approached the special court over the return of his passport, earlier in June. His request has now been granted by the special NDPS court. For the unversed, it was a few days ago that the court had directed the NCB to file their reply to the passport return plea made by Aryan Khan. Special NDPS judge VV Patil had posted the matter for a hearing on July 13.
Live Law reported on Twitter that the special NDPS court has now directed the NCB to return the passport of Aryan. The report further stated that the court registry has been asked to return the passport. In a series of a thread of tweets, the update on the plea made by Khan was shared.

Weeks ago, Shah Rukh Khan’s son made a plea requesting the special court for the cancellation of his bail bond. He even requested that a formal order to be issued, discharging him from the cruise ship drug case.
Aryan was detained and then arrested in the cruise drug case in October, last year. The star kid spent almost a month in prison. He was in Arthur Road jail and was later granted bail by the court.

In May 2022, the Special Investigating Team (SIT) of the NCB had stated that Aryan and Mohak, who were accused in the cruise ship case were not found in possesion of narcotics substances. The agency had intercepted Vikrant, Ishmeet, Arbaaz, Aryan and Gomit at the International Port Terminal, Mumbai Port Trust, and Nupur, Mohak and Munmun on the Cordelia Cruise. The NCB had issued a statement and an excerpt from it read: “All the accused persons were found in possession of narcotics except Aryan and Mohak.”
Meanwhile, since his bail, Aryan has made several public appearances. He was clicked arriving at the wedding party of Shibani Dandekar and Farhan Akhtar, as well as Karan Johar’s 50th birthday bash.
