Asha Bhosle looks back at Bachpan Ke Din with sister Lata Mangeshkar, shares pic

The Nation is mourning the loss of legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar. The Nightingale of India breathed her last on Sunday, February 6 after succumbing to her illness. The Queen of Melody was bid an emotional farewell by fans, families celebs and more. Her sister and legendary singer Asha Bhosle took to Instagram to remember her sister through a throwback childhood photo.

Sharing the throwback pic the singer wrote, “Bachpan ke din bhi kya din the. Didi and I ❤️”. In the picture little Asha sitting on a pedestal and an older Lata standing beside her. Asha’s song Bachpan Ke Din is heard playing in the background.

Soon, celebs and fans poured in tributes in the comment section of the post. Hrithik Roshan dropped a few heart icons. Siddhanth Kapoor, who happens to be Lata’s distant relative, wrote, “Love you aaji.” A fan wrote, “Legends never leave us, no one can match her legacy!” Another said, “take care mam and be strong.”

Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar’s mortal remains were consigned to flames with full state honours. Her funeral was held at Shivaji Park in Mumbai on Sunday evening. Bollywood stars, cricketers, politicians, people from all walks of life paid their last respects to the legendary singer at Shivaji Park. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid his last respects to the Nightingale of India.
