Athiya Shetty’s Afghani neckpiece is all you need to spruce up a lazy office outfit!

Oxidised jewellery, silver jewellery, beads and royal Afghani statement pieces have been brewing in everyone’s mind for quite some time now. They are all ‘love at first sight’ for all those fashionistas out there who breathe fashion and have dreamy dreams of buying that one accessory which is giving them restless days. Athiya’s astute sense of style was more than evident when she attended her mom Mana Shetty’s store launch in the city. Styled by fashion stylist Ami Patel, the ‘Mubarakan’ actress made us fall in love with her all-blue look that had a boho, street style vibe. She wore matching, striped separates by Lovebirds that included a longline tunic and cropped pants. We’re totally in awe of the slightly flared fit of the top and loose, laid-back feel. There’s something beautiful about outfits with both horizontal and vertical stripes as they add a whiff of classiness to any look.

But the interesting part is yet to come. The way Athiya accessorised the look, took the outfit a notch higher instantly. She opted for a silver, long Afghani necklace with blue beads and a hint of the same intense colour at the centre. The statement piece was neither understated nor too strong. It was the perfect blend of chic and uber pretty.

Ms. Shetty teamed up the ensemble with a pair of black flats and a delicate silver watch. She left her hair open and sported minimal makeup with nude pink lips and delicately lined eyes. And those chiselled cheekbones! She seems to have inherited them from her superstar father, Suniel Shetty, for sure.

Athiya certainly hit all the right notes with her stripe game and threw in a fab ethnic element with the statement necklace. What’s more? The necklace is that one accessory we’re eyeing right now as it has the potential to spruce up any lazy office outfit in a jiffy! Sometimes, isn’t it less complicated when we ditch that fancy top or those hot pink lips and just add one ‘wow’ element to the outfit?
