‘Atrangi Re’: Akshay Kumar begins shooting with Sara Ali Khan; actress says, “The film becomes more Rangeen”

The year 2020 may not have been a lucrative one for the film industry but despite the pandemic, Akshay Kumar went on to sign and announce several films. The superstar recently joined Sara Ali Khan on the sets of Aanand L Rai’s ‘Atrangi Re’. He also shared a lovely still from this highly anticipated film.

Sharing a picture with Sara Ali Khan, Akshay took to his Instagram handle and wrote, “The joy brought by those three magic words is unmatched: Lights, Camera, Action ? Begun shooting for #AtrangiRe by @aanandlrai. Need all your love and best wishes ?? An @arrahman musical. Written by: #HimanshuSharma”

In the picture, we can see Akshay holding Sara in his arms and they are smiling at each other.

Sara too shared the same picture on her Instagram handle and she captioned it as, “AtrangiRe becomes more Rangeen! ????? @akshaykumar so privileged, excited and thankful to be working with you!”

‘Atrangi Re’ also stars Dhanush in a pivotal role. This is the first time when Sara will be seen sharing the screen space with Akshay and Dhanush. So obviously she is very excited. Earlier talking about resuming the film’s shoot post lockdown, Sara had told PTI, “I was shooting for the second schedule of Atrangi Re. I’m now sitting in a room where people are wearing masks, suits and gloves. It’s a little strange. It was the same on set, with my director in a mask and gloves. It was different. But the passion and excitement with which everybody in the film fraternity comes to set with has not changed. The enthusiasm which binds us all is still there. So it really felt like I never left.” 

Reportedly, ‘Atrangi Re’ will hit the silver screens on February 14, 2021.
