A social media user on what actually happened on India’s Got Latent
A social media user named Mohit recently took to Instagram and claimed that he attended the infamous episode as part of the live audience. According to him, right after Ranveer made the controversial remark, he immediately apologized multiple times. Mohit stated that Ranveer even hugged the contestant and repeatedly checked if he was comfortable.
“I was there, I saw everything. Right after making the joke, Ranveer apologized at least four times, saying, “Sorry, aapko bura toh nahi laga?” I know a sorry doesn’t fix everything, but he genuinely ensured the kid was okay. Samay Raina also checked in on him. The contestant later won the round, and everyone celebrated. Ranveer hugged him again and apologized, making sure he was fine.”, Mohit shared in his video.
In the caption of his post, Mohit urged people to stop spreading hate against Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina, defending Samay as “one of the most humble guys” he had met.
For the unversed, Ranveer, also known as BeerBiceps, and his co-judge Samay Raina have been facing severe backlash over the former’s inappropriate question on the show. The controversy erupted when Ranveer allegedly asked a contestant a disturbing hypothetical question involving body parts and an indecent act in exchange for Rs 2 crore. His most controversial remark—“Would you watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join once to stop it forever?”—sparked immense outrage.
The video quickly went viral, with politicians and celebrities condemning the statement. A police complaint has since been filed against Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, and fellow co-judges Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Makhija. While Ranveer has issued a public apology, Samay has deleted all episodes of India’s Got Latent from YouTube in response to the backlash.
