Authorities cut Aarey forest: Dia Mirza, Farhan Akhtar and Richa Chadha criticise the move

Since a long time, the debate on Aarey forest has caught the attention of the whole state. Several B-town celebrities have also spoken against the authorities for their decision of cutting down the forest (also known as lungs of Mumbai) to make way for the Metro car shed.

Friday night came as a shock for many, as the officials have already begun the deforestation process at midnight. The videos of this midnight deforestation have gone viral on the internet and once again, several B-town celebs such as Dia Mirza, Farhan Akhtar, and others slammed the authorities.

Although, Bombay High Court has dismissed all the petitions which had been filed against BMC and the state government for their decision to clear the forest area for the car shed. However, the locals were seen gathering at the Aarey Colony last night, as the protest is still going on to save thousands of trees.
