Not Siddharth Anand, Ayan Mukerji comes on board as a director for Hrithik Roshan starrer War 2- Report

After delivering smashing hit Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva, Ayan Mukerji will be next directing Hrithik Roshan starrer War 2.

Earlier today, Ayan Mukerji took to his Instagram and announced Brahmastra part 2 and 3’s release dates. The filmmaker left fans beyond excited as he revealed that he will be working on the two films together. After the smashing success of Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva, Ayan has now promised that the upcoming parts will be ‘bigger and more ambitious’. According to the latest report, Ayan has been roped in to direct Hrithik Roshan starrer War 2.

Ayan to direct War 2

War starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff was directed by Siddharth Anand. According to Taran Adarsh, Aditya Chopra has signed Ayan Mukerji to direct War sequel. Tiger and Hrithik starrer War sequel is the 7^th film in the #YRF Spy Universe, which will follow the events of Salman Khan starrer Tiger 3.

Salman Khan and Katrina starrer Tiger 3 will be release during Diwali this year. Earlier this year, Salman made a cameo appearance in Siddharth Anand’s directorial Pathaan. Salman Khan’s cameo in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan won hearts. Interestingly, Shah Rukh Khan will also be making a cameo in Salman’s upcoming film Tiger 3. Fans can’t wait to see Shah Rukh Khan and Salman onscreen together.

Talking about Ayan’s next directorial i.e. War 2, Hrithik will reprise his role of RAW agent Kabir Dhaliwal.

On the other hand, Aditya Chopra’s Spy Universe kicked off with the Tiger franchise starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. It started with Ek Tha Tiger and was followed by Tiger Zinda Hai. Hrithik and Tiger starrer War then entered the universe. The latest instalment in the universe was Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham starrer Pathaan. Pathaan did well at the box office. The worldwide collection of Pathaan stands at Rs 1,049 crore.
