‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’: Ayushmann Khurrana confirmed to star in the gay love story

Trust singer-actor Ayushmann Khurrana to push the envelope with each of his films and he will never disappoint you. Ayushmann is not just a good actor but he has a great sense of the right kind of script to select. Novel and out-of-the-box stories always click with the movie-goers and Ayushmann knows the kind of subject the viewers will love to watch on the silver screen. The actor is all set to star in ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’, which will revolve around a gay love story.

‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ is actually a film in ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ franchise. Yes, the makers of the Bhumi Pednekar and Ayushmann starrer have turned their film into a franchise and their second will deal with the subject of homosexuality.’ Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ revolved around erectile dysfunction.

The sequel will be directed by Hitesh Kewalya and produced by filmmaker Aanand L Rai. Talking about being a part of this film, Ayushmann told IANS, “It is one of the most brilliant films that I have read in a long time and it handles the subject of homosexuality really sensitively. It is a pleasure to collaborate again with the master storyteller of our times. It is an out and out entertaining film that will also make you think and that’s the hallmark of good cinema.”

A report in Mumbai Mirror states that the film will revolve around a conservative family and how they accept their son’s sexuality. The film will deal with the subject in a light-hearted manner. The sequel will go on floors in August and is slated to release in 2020.
