Ayushmann Khurrana calls wife Tahira ‘trailblazer’; celebrates World Cancer Day

Today is World Cancer Day and Tahira Kashyap, Ayushmann Khurrana‘s wife who is a cancer survivor shared an inspiring post celebrating her victory over cancer. Tahira was hit by the Big C last year and she battled the dreaded disease with will power and belief in the universe. She recently chopped off her tresses and posted a bald picture of her. Today Tahira has gone bold with her latest picture that she has shared on her Instagram handle. In the post, she wrote, “Today is my day! Wish you all a happy #worldcancerday and hope each one of us celebrates this day in an embracing way.”

The picture is captured by ace photographer Atul Kasbekar. In the picture, Tahira is facing her back and we can see a scar on her back. Tahira said in the post that she ‘truly embrace all her scars as they are her badges of honour’. Here’s her full post.

Her husband Ayushmann who has been her pillar of strength also reposted the same pic and called her “scars are beautiful”. Also, he wrote, “Keep inspiring the millions to fight their toughest personal battles. Be the lifer you are!”

Tahira is really brave-hearted and she also made her debut on Lakme Fashion Week 2019 where she flaunted her bald look with panache. Taking to her Instagram handle, Tahira shared her experience on walking the ramp for the first time. She called it a ‘beautiful experience’.
