Ayushmann Khurrana REACTS to Ananya Panday replacing Nushrratt Bharuccha in Dream Girl 2

Ayushmann Khurrana is back as Pooja in the sequel of Dream Girl. The first part starred Nushrratt Bharuccha opposite Ayushmann. But this time, Ayushmann Khurrana will be seen romancing Ananya Payday in Dream Girl 2. Now, in a recent interview, Ayushmann was asked about Ananya replacing Nushrratt in the sequel.

Speaking with Indian Express, Ayushmann said, “This is an organic sequel to Dream Girl. We had to cast a different film, and Ananya fit the bill. I think she is very spunky and adds value to the film. The way she has taken the accent in the film, the Mathura accent, is very commendable.”

The actor added that it was fun working with Ananya and that he would love to work with her in the future as well.

For the uninitiated, Nushrratt had revealed that she was hurt on being replaced by Ananya in the sequel.

Furthermore, Ayushmann was also asked whether he took any tips from his co-star to play a woman’s character. The actor said, “During scenes we used to improvise a lot but Ananya didn’t have to give me any tips for Pooja because Pooja’s character is very in your face and Ananya’s character is very classy in the film. I had to be in your face because we were making a comedy film, so it was Raaj’s (Raaj Shaandilyaa, film’s director) idea.”

Ananya will be seen playing the role of Pari Shrivastav in the Dream Girl sequel. Apart from Ayushmann and Ananya, Dream Girl 2 also stars Paresh Rawal, Annu Kapoor, Manjot Singh, Manoj Joshi, Rajpal Yadav, Abhishek Banerjee, and Seema Pahwa. Directed by Raaj Shaadilyaa, Dream Girl 2 is slated to release on 25^th August.
