Ayushmann Khurrana to play a vampire in horror comedy? Actor teases fans saying, ‘Official announcement soon’

Ayushmann Khurrana is one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood. Since making his acting debut, Ayushmann has given several hits. The actor has proved he can ace any genre. Now, in a recent interview, Ayushmann hinted at joining filmmaker Dinesh Vijan’s horror comedy universe with a movie tentatively titled ‘Vampire’. Vampire will reportedly feature Ayushmann alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

When asked to share an update on Vampire, Ayushmann said that the makers will soon make an announcement. The actor told PTI, “Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik are trying to build a horror universe. It is very interesting and intriguing and it is very new for the Indian audience. So, let’s see when it happens and we will have an official announcement soon.”

For the uninitiated, Ayushmann previously collaborated with Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik on Bala. Reportedly, Ayushmann and Samantha starrer will be the fourth title in the Maddock Films-backed horror-comedy universe after RajKummar Rao starrer Stree, Roohi and the upcoming film Bhediya with Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon.

Ayushmann is currently busy with his upcoming film, An Action Hero, co-starring Jaideep Ahlawat. A few days ago, Ayushmann’s An Action Hero trailer was released and it received a good response.

If reports are to be believed, Akshay Kumar will make a cameo in An Action Hero. Bollywood Hungama earlier quoted a source saying, “The film is titled An Action Hero – how can one make a film with that title without the presence of Hindi Cinema’s Original Action Hero – Akshay Kumar.” The report further added that Akshay’s appearance will bring a change in Ayushmann’s character and perspective.

On the other hand, Ayushmann also has Dream Girl 2 with Ananya Panday.
