The #MeToo movement has opened up a can of worms with a number of women accusing top-notch celebs such as Alok Nath, Chetan Bhagat and Sajid Khan of sexual harassment. These celebs are all set to pay the price today. But looks like this movement is not only about exposing popular celebs even those who are unknown are to be exposed.
Actor Ayushmann Khurrana’s wife Tahira Kashyap has in a long post shared her #MeToo ordeal that she faced when she was a child at the hands of a relative.
In a long post, Tahira has opened up on how scared she was scared of physical touches when she started dating her then boyfriend and at present husband Ayushmann all thanks to the relative. But it was her husband’s patience and kindness that healed her. Tahira says, “Often the closest people especially the relatives in your life (those whom everyone trusts) are the real creeps.”
Sharing the note, she captioned, “My #MeToo moment… wish I didn’t have one and neither did anyone. But glad we are speaking about it. Let’s have zero tolerance towards it. And let’s not question how long the victim took to speak. It took me around 20 years. Will it be held against me? #metoomovement#metoo #comeout #loveyourself#expressyourself #zerotolerance”

It is a matter of thought as many will relate to Tahira’s story.
Tahira was diagnosed with Stage 0 breast cancer and had recently undergone a mastectomy procedure. When 35-year-old author-filmmaker Tahira Kashyap shared a post-surgery image of herself – bespectacled, smiling and holding mastectomy drains recovering from cancer she gave strength to many women to open up.
Tahira married Ayushmann in 2011. They are parents to six-year-old Virajveer and four-year-old Varushka.
On the work front, Ayushmann is at present gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Badhaai Ho’ that is slated to hit the theatres on October 19, 2018.
