Riteish Deshmukh and Gauahar Khan extend their support to Pakistan cricket team’s captain Sarfaraz Ahmed

India, as a nation, is obsessed with cricket. And just like us, even our neighbouring country Pakistan is a great fan of this sport. In the ongoing ICC World Cup, India recently beat Pakistan and soon after that, the latter’s team were at the receiving end of trolls. Twitter was flooded with memes mocking the Pakistani players’ performance in the one-sided match.

In fact, Pakistan’s former cricketer Shoaib Akhtar lashed out on the current team of his country. Akhtar severely criticised Pakistan’s captain Sarfaraz Ahmed and even raised questions on his fitness. Recently, a video of a fan mocking Sarfaraz emerged on social media. The fan, in the viral video, can be seen misbehaving with Sarfaraz even when he is accompanied by his child.

Soon, everyone started criticising the fan in the video and requested them to show some grace. Even our B-town celebs came forward to extend their support to Sarfaraz.

Riteish Deshmukh lashed out on the fan and very clearly wrote that this is harassment. He urged people to be sensitive at least when someone is with their child.

Actress Gauahar Khan wrote that such fans who have no manners should be named and shamed.

What an idiot!!! Name n shame him !!! Just becoz sportsmen underperform sometimes you ridicule them??? Shame on this jaahil insaan ! Especially when he had his daughter in his arms! This guys parents should slap him ! Seriously!! ? https://t.co/ET4PKg7Dmr

Television actor Jay Bhanushaali also said that such fans are a disgrace and Sarfaraz should have slapped him right away.

Several others too slammed that fan for his ridiculous behaviour so much so that eventually he had to come forward and apologize.

People tend to forget the fact that at the end of the day, it is just a game. Respecting players who represent your country and accepting defeat should come naturally to everyone.
