‘Baahubali’ star Prabhas has a special message for Indian men’s hockey team

‘Baahubali’ star Prabhas has become such a household name in India. The big and burly actor shot to fame with his acting in the ‘Baahubali’ franchise. As we all know, Indian men’s hockey team is currently playing the Hockey World Cup 2018 in Odisha.

Prabhas wrote a cheerful message on his Facebook post and it reads, “Excited to watch our team playing in the Hockey World cup in our home grounds… My Best wishes to the Indian Hockey Team for the Hockey Men’s World Cup…”

Despite hockey having a glorious past, Indians are obsessed with cricket and worship cricketers as demigods. In Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan portrayed the character of a hockey coach in ‘Chak De India’, which released in 2007. The film went on to become a smashing hit and revived the interest for hockey among the youngsters.

Prabhas is currently busy with the shooting of ‘Saaho’. It also stars Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor in the lead role. Prabhas, apart from being an actor is also a sports enthusiast and likes to play volleyball. In ‘Saaho’ Prabhas will be performing high flying action sequences and audiences are eagerly waiting for this flick to release.

‘Baahubali’ has become a cult film and the pressure on Prabhas will be immense to deliver another blockbuster film. ‘Saaho’ also has Neil Nitin Mukesh and is slated to release in 2019.
