Senior NCP leader Babba Siddique tragically passed away on Saturday, October 12 after being shot multiple times by unidentified individuals. As the news of the politician’s demise spread several politicians as well as Bollywood personalities were snapped at Bandra’s Lilavati hospital to pay their respects and console the family. As per reports, Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt were among the many personalities spotted at the hospital following Baba Siddique’s death. Scroll below to check out the visuals.

Baba Siddique passes away: Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt rush to hospital

Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt – who were close to Baba Siddique and were spotted at several gathering organised by the politician, were seen arriving at the hospital. While Dutt was spotted exiting the hospital, reports reveal Khan is currently in the building.

As per sources, Salman Khan cancelled today’s Bigg Boss 18 shooti midway upon hearing about the demise of Baba Siddiqui. He thereafter rushed to Leelavati hospital from the sets.

Aside from Sanjay Dutt and several other politicians being spotted at Lilavati hospital, actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband, Raj Kundra were also snapped at the hospital.

Baba Siddique death

As per reports, the attack on Mr Siddique took place near his son, Zeeshan Siddique’s office in Bandra East. The politician – who sustained gunshot wounds to his chest and abdomen during the attack, was rushed to Lilavai Hospital in critical condition. As per reports, officials have arrested two suspects – one hailing from Uttar Pradesh and the other from Haryana, while the third is still at large. Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde has stated that strict action will be taken against the accused and no one should take the law into their hands.

Mr Siddique was associated with Congress for 48 years. He was elected as an MLA from the Bandra West constituency in 1999, 2004 and 2009. He also served as a minister of state for food and civil supplies, labour and FDA between 2004 and 2008. The politician quit the party in February and joined Ajit Pawar’s NCP.

The former MLA – who was known for also hosting lavish parties, was responsible for ending the cold war between superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. He resolved the fight between the two superstars at his Iftaar party hosted in 2013.
