‘Can break one of your legs’: Babul Supriyo threatens at event for differently abled

Singer-turned-politician Babul Supriyo was recently caught on camera threatening to break a man’s leg. The Union Minister, who was attending an event for the differently abled in Bengal’s Asansol, was speaking at the function organised to donate wheelchairs and other equipments for the differently abled.

During his speech, Babul Supriyo suddenly flared up and paused his speech. He snapped at the man and said, “Why are you moving? Please sit down. What happened to you? Any problem? I can break one of your legs and can give you a crutch.”

Mr. Supriyo then proceeded to order his security men to break the man’s leg and hand him a crutch if he dared to move again. And then, asked the audience to give the man a round of applause.

This is not the first time that the singer-turned-politician has displayed a short fuse in public. He had done the same in March on a visit to Asansol that was affected by communal violence following the Ram Navami celebration in the state. Reportedly, the minister has a short temper and had lashed out at the agitating crowd saying that he would skin them alive.
