Badshah opens up about why he called Kartik Aaryan an ‘overrated’ actor

Badshah had stirred up quite the controversy after his appearance on Karan Johar’s talk show ‘Koffee with Karan’ with Diljit Dosanjh. He called Kartik Aaryan an overrated actor. Later, when Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon made an appearance on the show, Kartik was told about Badshah naming him an overrated actor. To which, he wondered why anyone would call him overrated.

Recently, in an interview with Mumbai Mirror, the rapper cleared the air when he was asked why he referred to Kartik as “overrated”. He went on to explain, “I don’t know why I named him, maybe because we were talking about Kartik during the break. It just came out but the fact is that he is a brilliant actor with a very good script sense.”

He even told Kartik about it and the two had a laugh about it. He said, “When I told Kartik, I was acting, he joked, ‘Beta, ab tu dekh.’”

Badshah is one of the top artistes in Bollywood as he has been ruling the charts with is groovy hits like ‘The Humma Song’ from ‘OK Jaanu’, ‘Tareefan’ from ‘Veere Di Wedding’ and ‘Kar Gayi Chull’ from ‘Kapoor & Sons’. The rapper will also be making his acting debut as a pop star in Sonakshi Sinha’s next ‘Khandaani Shafakhana’.
