BAFTA 2021: Priyanka Chopra and Adarsh Gourav make it to the longlist for The White Tiger

Priyanka Chopra is currently basking in the success of The White Tiger. The Ramin Bahrani directorial has made to the longlist of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA). Priyanka is in the category of the Best Supporting Actress. It has also made to six other categories on the BAFTA longlist, which includes Best Actor for Adarsh Gourav, Best Director for Ramin Bahrani and Best Film, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Cinematography and Editing.

Priyanka, expressing her happiness shared a glimpse of the BAFTA longlist. She wrote in an Instagram story, “Wow, all the feels for our beautiful film.”

Priyanka’s cousin, Parineeti Chopra is also on cloud nine after hearing this great news. She wrote on Twitter, “Ladies and gentlemen, meet my BAFTA Longlist sister. I meaaaaan, Can’t wait for this to happen.” To which Priyanka replied back, “You’re a cutie tishuuuu! love u”.

There will be a second round of voting that will select the final list of six nominees and a third round will decide the winner. The final list of BAFTA nominations will be announced on March 9. The BAFTA Awards will be on April 11. If Priyanka wins the award, it will be another feather on her hat.

Talking about The White Tiger, the film stars Adarsh Gourav as the lead. Rajkummar Rao is in supporting role along with Priyanka. It is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Aravind Adiga. It has been co-produced by Priyanka along with Emmy award-winning filmmaker Ava DuVernay. The movie has been getting positive reviews not only in India but also worldwide.
