The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav has made Salman Khan‘s film ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ tax free in the state. This was after the director Kabir Khan met the CM of Uttar Pradesh, with the request to make his directorial tax free.
Akhilesh Yadav who has been known to be supportive of Bollywood ventures, he had made films like Tevar, Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho, Hamari Adhuri Kahani and Masaan tax free in the state. During the meeting the CM said that his state offers immense possibilities for film production.
The CM further added,”They are developing two film cities in the state. While one would come up on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, the other would come up at Trans-Ganga Hitech City Scheme in Unnao, neighbouring Lucknow. These film cities, which were to be built at a cost of Rs 650 crore, the best of modern technology would be available in the state for film production and employment for 9,000 people would be generated.”
