Ranveer Singh in and as Alauddin Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmaavat’ was a kickass one. His portrayal of dreaded Khilji left a lasting impact on the audience. Not just the audience, Ranveer himself was quite affected with his character. He took a lot of time to get out of the aura of Khilji, but one wonders what probed Ranveer to take up such an evil character.
At a recent event, Ranveer told us the truth. He revealed that one statement that the director made which literally forced him to do this character. “Come on Ranveer, don’t you want to play the character who has 70kg of balls…?”, is what SLB said to Ranveer and the actor was sold.

Ahha… well, we do agree. Alauddin Khilji character was quite ballsy. SLB always manages to bring out the best in Ranveer, and his performance as Alauddin Khilji too great. (Also Read: Padmaavat movie review: This visual spectacle with rich performances will win you over)
