Following the terror attack in Uri which has been strongly condemned by the Indian entertainment industry, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) demanded all the Pakistani artistes working in India to go back to their country. They also demanded that Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and Shah Rukh Khan‘s ‘Raees’ that respectively feature Pakistani stars Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan should release without their presence. SRK’s ‘Dilwale’ co-star Varun Dhawan has now broken his silence over the issue.
“I will follow what the government of India will say. Jo bhi Bharat sarkar kahegi woh sar ankhon par.” (sic)
The actor added “The government has to say that. It (ban) has to come from the government. And if they take any steps, we will have to see what they do after that. If by banning actors, terrorism can be stopped then they should do it. That is something the government needs to decide first,” Varun said.
Karan Johar, however, said that banning artists was no solution to the problem.
On the professional front, Varun will be next seen in ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ with Alia Bhatt.
