Bappi Lahiri last Instagram post is a reminder that ‘old is always gold’

India has lost another gem from its vast treasure of musical artists. Days after the demise of legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, Veteran singer-composer Bappi Lahiri also passed away at age of 69. The singer breathed his last in a Mumbai hospital. The news of Bappi Lahiri’s demise came as a shock to fans and friends. They took to social media to mourn his loss. Amid this Bappi Lahiri’s last Instagram post is grabbing attention.

In his last Instagram post, Bappi Lahiri was seen taking a trip down memory lane to relive his good old days. He had captioned the image as “Old is always gold” along with a heart emoticon.

In the monochromatic pic, Bappi Lahiri was seen in a t-shirt paired with a sleeveless jacket. He was sporting trendy glasses and his love for gold was evident in a gold bracelet.

Dr Deepak Namjoshi, director of CritiCare hospital, told PTI, “Bappi Lahiri had been admitted to the hospital for a month and was discharged on Monday. But his health deteriorated on Tuesday and his family called for a doctor to visit their home. He was brought to the hospital due to multiple health issues. Bappi Lahiri died due to OSA (obstructive sleep apnea) shortly before midnight.”

Bappi Lahiri’s music enchanted the audiences, in 80s and the 90s. His last Bollywood song was for the 2020 film Baaghi 3.The veteran singer also made an appearance in an episode of Bigg Boss 15 as a guest.
