Late singer Bappi Lahiri makes a cameo appearance in Masaba Masaba 2

Masaba Masaba is one of the most loved Indian series on Netflix and there’s no denying that! The second season of Masaba Masaba is out now. The second season of Masaba Gupta and Neena Gupta’s show released on July 29 and it has met fans’ expectations. Going by the reviews, fans enjoyed the show. Apart from Masaba and Neena, there are many actors who are a part of the second season. But one of the special cameos that everyone is talking about right now is of the late legendary singer Bappi Lahiri.

Late legendary singer Bappi Lahiri made a cameo appearance in Masaba Masaba 2. He shared screen space with Neena Gupta and stole viewers’ hearts. Bappi da’s last appearance on-screen has also left fans emotional. Bappi Lahiri passed away on February 16, 2022, due to Obstructive Sleep Apnea at the age of 69.

Earlier, in an interview with News18, Neena Gupta recalled filming with late music icon for the second season and said, “I vividly remember the day when we shot for it. He wasn’t particularly in good health but I could still see a child-like enthusiasm in Bappi ji when he came on the sets.”

The veteran actress added, “He was wearing a golden cap and his usual trademark jewellery. He told me that he was really excited. We just have one scene and it isn’t a long sequence but he was simply in his element. He improvised his lines and we had a great time shooting with him.”

Bappi Lahiri, popularly known as Bappi Da in the music industry, delivered iconic songs like Yaad Aa Raha Hai, Tamma Tamma Loge and more.
