‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’: Shahid gifts his makeshift gym to Tehri hotel

Bollywood superstar Shahid Kapoor is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’. The Shree Narayan Singh directorial also features Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam in pivotal roles. The trailer and the songs of the film have created a nice buzz among the viewers.

Not many know that the actors had shot for the film in Tehri, Uttarakhand. While shooting they stayed at a hotel with bare necessities and no luxuries, instead of a five-star hotel. Shahid Kapoor, who is a fitness freak and loves to workout each day, set up his own gym at the hotel.

As per sources, “As this small hotel had no fitness facilities, he set up his own gym on the premises. His instructor had taken a lot of expensive equipment from Mumbai and set them up in a room. A day before they packed up, the hotel guys requested Shahid to leave his gym equipment behind for them and other guests and he agreed instantly knowing his gift would help the establishment.”

Shahid Kapoor’s big-hearted gesture has not only stolen our hearts but even increased the respect we have for him.

‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ is a lighthearted but impactful social drama that every Indian citizen will relate to. The movie is slated to release on 21st September.

On the personal front, Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira Rajput recently celebrated the second birthday of their daughter Misha Kapoor with close friends and family members. They are now awaiting the birth of their second child.

The ‘Padmaavat’ star will take a short break to be with his family on the arrival of their child. He will then resume the shooting of the Hindi remake of Telugu hit flick ‘Arjun Reddy’.
