YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, known for his ‘BeerBiceps’ channel, has issued a public apology for his controversial remark on Samay Raina’s show ‘India’s Got Latent’. The apology comes after a severe backlash on social media and a complaint filed against Allahbadia. He has been alleged to use abusive, vulgar and inappropriate language on the show.
‘Beer Biceps’ Ranveer Allahbadia apologises for his obscene comments
Ranveer posted a long apology video on X. In the video, he said, “My comment wasn’t just inappropriate, it was also not funny. Comedy is not my forte, I am just here to say sorry. Many of you asked if this is how I wish to use my platform, obviously! This is not how I wish to use it. I am not going to give any context or justification or reasoning behind whatever happened, I am just here for this apology. I personally had a lapse of judgement, it wasn’t cool on my part.”

He added, “The podcast is watched by people of all ages and I don’t want to take the responsibility of being the person who takes, that responsibility lightly. Families are the last things that I want to disrespect. Need to use this platform better, that has been my learning from this whole experience. I promise to just get better. I have also asked the makers of the video to remove the insensitive portions and all I can say in the end is that I am sorry. I hope you can forgive me as a human being.”
What happened?
The controversy began when Allahbadia posed a provocative question to a contestant on the show. He asked whether they would watch their parents have sex for the rest of their lives or join them once and put a stop to it? The joke was met with laughter from host Samay Raina and other content creators on the show. Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Mukhija, also known as ‘The Rebel Kid’ were present.
Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis on Ranveer’s comment
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also reacted to the controversy, stating, “I have come to know about it. I have not seen it yet. Things have been said and presented in a wrong way. Everyone has freedom of speech, but our freedom ends when we encroach upon the freedom of others.” Fadnavis emphasized that anyone who crosses the limits of decency will face action, as “Our society has made some rules, and if someone violates them, it is absolutely wrong and action should be taken against them.”
Allahbadia’s apology comes after a complaint was filed with the Mumbai Commissioner and Maharashtra Women’s Commission, seeking action against the content creators for allegedly using abusive language on the show. This incident has led to a renewed focus on the importance of respecting social norms and decency on public platforms.
