Did you know Salman Khan once declined an offer to buy Shah Rukh Khan’s home Mannat?

Shah Rukh Khan’s Mumbai mansion Mannat is one of the most iconic celebrity homes in Bollywood. Mannat is designed by Shah Rukh Khan’s wife and interior designer Gauri Khan. For the uninitiated, Shah Rukh Khan’s mansion Mannat was first offered to Salman Khan but he declined it.

In a recent interview with Faridoon Shahryar, Salman Khan was asked about the one thing that Shah Rukh Khan has, which he wished he had. The actor said, “That bungalow of his (Mannat). But it had come to me first, when I had just started off.”

Sharing the reason behind declining the offer, Salman said, “My dad (film producer and script writer Salim Khan) said itne bade ghar mein tum karoge kya. I want to ask Shah Rukh Khan, itne bade ghar mein karta kya hai tu?”

Salman and Shah Rukh Khan share a great bond with each other. In June, Shah Rukh Khan celebrated 30 years in Bollywood. The actor opened up about his friendship with Salman and said, “He is like a brother. We don’t know which one of us is elder. Each of us behaves like an elder brother on different days. Whoever makes a mistake, the other dons the role of an elder brother.”

The actors are all set to make cameos in each other’s films. On Salman Khan’s birthday last year, he had revealed that he will be making a cameo appearance in Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan and latter will make an appearance in his film Tiger 3. Apart from this, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan have interesting projects in the pipeline. Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in Dunki and Jawan. Salman has Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali.
