Bela Sehgal’s next film to go on floors in 2017

Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s sister Bela Sehgal, who made her directorial debut with ‘Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi’, will start shooting a love story next year.

Without revealing much about what the film, Sehgal told IANS: “All I can say is that my next film is a very different love story. The film will go on pre-production stage this year and, hopefully, I will start shooting it by next year. At the moment, I don’t want to say anything because it’s too early.”

Her debut movie as a director came out in 2012.

Asked why she took such a long break, Sehgal said: “I was busy with my daughters and my family. My daughters were both studying, but now I am settled. Suddenly, you all will hear news (on my work)… Just wait and watch.

“After I start my second film, I will not take too long for my next film.”

‘Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi’, starring Boman Irani and Farah Khan, was a unique and comical romantic tale on a Parsi couple.
