Ananya Panday made her web series debut with Call Me Bae, delivering a nuanced performance as a fashion enthusiast on a journey of self-discovery. Dil Dosti De saw Anushka Sen beautifully capture the innocence and complexities of young adulthood. In Follow Kar Lo Yar, Uorfi Javed blended humour and realism in a quirky yet relatable portrayal of social media culture.  

Netflix’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar dazzled with powerhouse performances by Aditi Rao Hydari, Manisha Koirala and Sonakshi Sinha who brought Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s vision of pre-Partition India to life. Patralekhaa stunned audiences in the intense hijacking drama IC 814.

Anjali Anand brought gravitas to her lead role in the thriller Raat Jawaan Hai, while Anchal Singh continued to impress with her layered character in Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhein. Konkona Sen Sharma showcased her signature brilliance in the dark comedy Killer Soup and Geetanjali Kulkarni once again won hearts with her understated performance in Gullak 4.

This year solidified the dominance of women-centric narratives in web series, with these actresses leading the charge.
