‘Bharat’: Salman Khan and Ali Abbas Zafar set to deliver a hattrick

Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Ali Abbas Zafar have been a hit trio. Their film together ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ (2017) was the biggest hit of that year and gave masses a dhamakedaar action entertainment. The film was the highest grossing film of the year with Rs 570.83 Cr worldwide collection until Aamir Khan’s ‘Secret Superstar’ released in China and overtook it. Now, the trio is coming back again for ‘Bharat’ – the teaser of which was released a little while ago.

‘Bharat’ marks the third time collaboration of Salman and Ali Abbas. Before ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, they had also given us the wrestling drama, ‘Sultan’ (2016). As an Eid release, ‘Sultan’ was the perfect blend of action and emotion for bhai fans. The film went on to earn Rs 631.25 Cr at the worldwide box-office with just ‘Dangal’ overtaking it at the end of the year.

Not only that, ‘Bharat’ will also mark the third collaboration between Katrina and Ali. Before ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ the two worked together for Ali’s debut directorial, ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ (2011). It earned Rs 100 Cr at the worldwide box-office, which was quite a big thing for a small budget film like that.

However, Salman’s last release, ‘Race 3’ (2018), and Katrina’s last two releases, ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ (2018) and ‘Zero’ (2018), were not well received by the audiences. Therefore, ‘Bharat’ needs to turn tables for them. Will collaborating with Ali get the tide flowing in their favour? Will the trio be third time lucky? From the looks of the teaser, it promises to be a big ticket hit. So, let’s re-watch the ‘Bharat’ trailer and enjoy bhai’s swagger.
