Bhavinaben Patel bags a silver at Tokyo Paralympics; Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor and others applaud the paddler

Indians were seen having quite the proud Sunday after paddler Bhavinaben Patel made the whole nation proud. The nation has been applauding Bhavinaben for her exceptional win and gave her a huge pat on the back for her achievement and making the nation proud in the ongoing Tokyo Paralympics in Japan. The Indian table tennis player made history as she bagged a silver medal in her maiden Paralympic Games; maintained a score of 0-3 against the Chinese paddler Ying Zhou in the women’s singles class 4 final.

Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi took to his Twitter account and applauding Bhavaniben he wrote, “The remarkable Bhavina Patel has scripted history! She brings home a historic Silver medal. Congratulations to her for it. Her life journey is motivating and will also draw more youngsters towards sports. #Paralympics.” Along with the Prime Minister, Bollywood actors like Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor and others also applauded Bhavinaben. Akshay took to his Twitter account and wrote, “Thank you for making history with your medal, #BhavinaPatel. It amazes me to see your talent and perseverance. #Paralympics #Tokyo2020.” Abhishek Bachchan wrote on his Twitter, “Glory, once again! Take a bow, Bhavina Patel, for winning silver with a stellar performance at #TokyoParalympics 2021!”
